Nā Lula Kaʻa ʻŌhua

Bus Schedule and Rules

Ka ʻUmeke Kāʻeo is happy to announce that we will once again be offering  kaʻaʻōhua (bus) service in the mornings and afternoons. You can find the registration form for our Kaʻaʻōhua here. If you would like to have your keiki catch the bus, be sure to fill out the registration form.

We are offering two pick-up locations and three drop-off at two locations, Shipman Park in Kea‘au, Pana‘ewa Park, and drop-off at Kawānanakoa Gym. It is important that you be at the designated bus stop on time for your pick up.

If your keiki are not at the designated bus stop on time, the bus will leave and you will have to bring your keiki to school. If you or an authorized person is not at the bus stop to pick up your child, he/she will return to the Hale Lamalama Campus and you will need to pick them up from there.

About Bus Service

Bus service is provided by Ka ʻUmeke Kāʻeo, not the Department of Education. This is a costly service offered as a kōkua to our ʻohana. While we do our best to maintain consistent service, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally prevent buses from running. We appreciate your understanding and patience should these situations arise as we work to keep students safe and on schedule.

Meet Our Bus Driver

ʻAnakē Jodi Pereira

With over 20 years of experience driving school buses, ʻAnakē Jodi was raised in Keaukaha and now lives in Kaʻūmana with her ʻohana. We are grateful to have her as part of the Ka ʻUmeke Kāʻeo ʻohana and appreciate the care and dedication she brings to our keiki each day.
